Part 1: Career vs. Vocation. All through their diverse assignments in schools and parishes the priests never lost sight of their primordial call to be “other Christs” to all to whom they ministered.

2: Change as a Challenge. The social, political, and technological
changes of the century are reviewed regarding their influence on the laity and
the spiritual and pastoral reactions of the clergy.
Part 3: Changes in the Church. The experiences of the priests in reacting to the changes in the Mass, sacraments, parish structure, role of the laity, and the dwindling number of clergy and religious.
